It was a complete and therapeutic rest for us without being the least bit boring. We swam, snorkelled, kayaked and explored in beautiful bays that can only be accessed by boat and then climbed back onto the boat to eat, have a drink, sleep, or read as we felt like it. Then at night we’d stay in a different place each time, sightsee and choose somewhere to have dinner.
The holiday was particularly restful because we didn’t have to do all the ‘chores’ that remain on a land holiday – i.e. we didn’t have to drive, cook, find a park at a crowded beach if we wanted to go swimming, or worry about finding suitable accommodation.
The Blue Marlin is beautiful, immaculately maintained and very clean and comfortable. Lesley and Nikos were great – I was worried that it might be awkward to be in such close quarters with strangers but it wasn’t a problem at all. They are both very professional and strike the right balance between being friendly and entertaining company and not intruding on your family holiday. Lesley is a great hostess and cook and she makes sure you really put your feet up.
