From the second we set foot on board Blue Marlin, my 14 year old daughter Sam and I, together with the rest of our 6 strong “crew” the Lovett family, felt incredibly welcome and immediately at home. This was due entirely to Lesley’s complete mastery of hostessing skills, the fact that she’s a great, down-to-earth person to be around and also the fact that nothing was too much trouble. She was entirely focused on making our Blue Marlin holiday the best it could possibly be, as was Capt Nikos – another joy to spend time afloat with.

The course Nikos & Lesley mapped for us was perfect – idyllic coves, a range of overnight stops from tranquil to bustling and everything in between, all accompanied by the most amazing array of foods for breakfast and lunch.
We could seriously get used to the sailing lark and really hope to be doing it all again in 2014!
We enjoyed ourselves so much last summer, we had to return again this year for more of the same. Nikos was our excellent captain (and master of backgammon!) and Lesley our lovely hostess. Myself and my ‘bestie’ Lynne, together with our 4 teenage children, had the most relaxing holiday ever. Never a dull moment visiting different ports each night. The kids had a ball, kayaking, cliff jumping, fishing, snorkeling and learning to sail the yacht. We genuinely didn’t want to leave at the end of the week. Roll on summer 2014 – we will be back!

I recently took a charter with Lesley, and would like to write a few words about what a wonderful time we had. We had a fairly mixed group, with two adults and five young ladies from 16 to 21. The trip was partly to celebrate our daughter’s 21st birthday, and partly as a relaxing family break. These are not necessarily easy things to combine! But Lesley managed wonderfully. She tailor made a trip that suited everyone, and did so in such an unobtrusive way, making it seem that nothing was too much trouble for her. The food on board was delicious, and again catered for a variety of needs, including one vegetarian, two with wheat allergies and one with lactose intolerance. The restaurant recommendations on shore were also perfect. I would highly recommend taking a charter with Lesley and you are bound to have a great time. Happy sailing!

We have had two of the most fabulous holidays with Lesley and the team on Viola and Blue Marlin over the summers of 2011 and 2012. We did quite a bit of research to find what we were looking for and were delighted with our holidays. As a family with four boys we were keen to find a holiday that kept us all busy but with bags of chill-time too. Every day on the boat was different with beautiful beaches, lots of snorkelling, exploring islands, long delicious lunches, kayaking (Blue Marlin) and so on. The highlight was coming across a pod of dolphins during our most recent trip. There was a new harbour each evening and that was fun itself after having safely and expertly docked we could then enjoy the (somewhat less professional) attempts of others! Lesley gave great tips on which taverna to go for the night and the whole family loved the different meals we tried.
So, two terrific holidays and already planning the next one. Thanks to Lesley, the supreme hostess, and to our brilliant skippers – Michael (Viola) and Nikos (Blue Marlin).
